Every result is saved to the My Creation tab, where you can preview, rename, share, save to your device, or delete it.

On iPhone, the same folder is also visible in the Files app under On My iPhone → Evir → My Creations.

On Android, tap Save to device on a result to copy it into your public Movies, Music, Pictures, or Documents folder (in an Evir subfolder), where the gallery and file managers can see it.

Video: MP4, MOV, MKV, WEBM, AVI, M4V, TS, 3GP, FLV, WMV, MPEG, OGV, and more — with codecs including H.264, HEVC, VP8/VP9, AV1, and ProRes.

The exact codec list adapts to what the chosen container supports.

When you only change the container (for example MKV → MP4) and keep the codec, Evir can remux: it repackages the streams without re-encoding them. This is enormously faster — often 100× — and completely lossless. If you change resolution, bitrate, codec, or other picture settings, a re-encode is required, and Evir uses hardware (GPU) acceleration for H.264 and HEVC when possible.

Use Video → Compress. Pick a resolution preset (1080p or 720p usually gives big savings), or lower the bitrate. The screen shows the original size next to the estimated output size, so you can see the savings before you start. HEVC (H.265) generally produces much smaller files than H.264 at the same quality.

Yes — open Image → Crop, tap Batch processing in the picker and select the images. Draw the crop window on the first one (free, or locked to 1:1, 4:3, 16:9, 9:16 or 3:4; drag to move, pinch to resize), then tap Crop Image. Every image gets the same frame: identical pixels for images of the same size, and the same relative frame — refitted to keep a locked ratio — for images of other sizes. The outputs keep the source format unless you pick another.

Use Audio → Split. Tap the waveform to place the playhead and press Add marker where each part should end; drag a marker to move it, or select it and nudge it by 0.1 s or 1 s. Pinch the waveform to zoom in for a precise cut.

Detect silences places the markers for you: it finds every quiet gap longer than the minimum you set and drops a marker in the middle of it — handy for a recorded album side, a rehearsal, or a long voice memo.

The parts between the markers are listed underneath. Give them names, switch off any you don't want, then tap Export to write all of them at once. Each part is cut sample-accurately in the format you pick under More settings and lands in My Creation.

Use Audio → Ringtone to export a clip of up to 30 seconds.

On iPhone, the clip is exported as an M4R file; follow the in-app guide: share the file to the GarageBand app or use the share sheet's "Use as Ringtone" flow, and it appears in Settings → Sounds & Haptics.

On Android, tap Set as ringtone on the result. Evir copies the file into your Ringtones folder and makes it your default ringtone. The first time, Android asks you to allow Evir to modify system settings — that permission is needed only for this step.

Yes — start a job and go back for another; conversions queue up in the job list, where you can watch progress and cancel individual jobs.

On iPhone, keep Evir in the foreground while jobs run: iOS pauses heavy processing when an app goes to the background.

On Android, jobs keep running while you use other apps, and a notification shows progress and tells you when a job is finished. Allow notifications when Evir asks, or you won't see that notice.

You may have granted access to only some items.

On iPhone, open Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → Evir and choose Full Access, or tap the selection banner in the app to add more items.

On Android, open Settings → Apps → Evir → Permissions → Photos and videos (and Music and audio for audio tools) and choose Allow all, or tap the selection banner in the app to add more items.

On either platform you can also pick the file through the system file browser instead — that needs no photo permission at all.

No. All processing runs on your device — Evir even works in Airplane Mode. Your media is never uploaded. The only network requests the iPhone app makes are version checks for updates; the Android app additionally sends anonymous crash reports and usage statistics (never your files) so we can fix problems. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Ask it what Evir can do — for example "how do I make a GIF?" — and it points you at the right tool. On iPhones with Apple Intelligence (iOS 26 and later), it uses Apple's on-device model; on other iPhones and on Android it uses built-in answers. It never accesses your files and never sends your questions anywhere.

English, Arabic, German, Spanish, French, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, and Simplified Chinese — on both iPhone and Android. Change the language in Settings inside the app.

• Make sure your device has enough free storage — video work needs temporary space.
• Try a different output format or codec; a few exotic combinations aren't supported.
• For very large files, try the "Without re-encoding" option if it's offered.
