Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Evir – Media Converter app ("Evir", "the app"). By downloading or using Evir, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Evir on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and Apple's App Store Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
2. Your content
Evir processes media files that you provide, entirely on your device. You keep all rights to your files, and we claim none. You are solely responsible for the content you process with Evir and for ensuring that you have the necessary rights to it. In particular, you agree not to use Evir to:
- infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property rights — for example, removing a watermark from content you do not own or have permission to modify;
- circumvent technical protection measures on protected content; or
- process or distribute content that is unlawful in your jurisdiction.
Because all processing happens locally, we have no access to your content and no ability to monitor how the app is used. Responsibility for lawful use rests with you.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app except to the extent permitted by applicable law, and not to use the app in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
4. Open-source components
Evir includes the FFmpeg library, licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL). FFmpeg is a trademark of Fabrice Bellard. Nothing in these Terms restricts the rights granted to you by the licenses of the open-source components included in the app.
5. Updates and availability
We may update the app from time to time to add features, fix bugs, or maintain compatibility with new iOS versions. Some updates may be required for the app to continue working correctly. We may modify or discontinue features at any time.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
Evir is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that output files will meet your requirements. Media conversion is a lossy process by nature; always keep a copy of your original files.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including loss of data, loss of profits, or device damage — arising from or related to your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for it (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.
8. Apple's role
These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app and is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to it. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
9. Termination
These Terms remain in effect until terminated. Your rights under these Terms end automatically if you fail to comply with them. You may terminate them at any time by deleting the app.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page, with its effective date shown above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
